Flat jet nozzle: High impact force
Flat jet nozzles are the most commonly used nozzle types, and can be found in almost every area of the manufacturing and processing industry. Flat jet nozzles produce a fan-shaped with different but essentially narrower spray widths. The exiting/outgoing liquid reaches the surface to be sprayed with a high impact force, so the main application of the flat jet nozzle is the washing or cleaning of parts or any washing process.
Due to the characteristics of the spray pattern of the flat jet nozzle, it is primarily a suitable choice for applications where either the surface / object to be sprayed or the nozzle is in motion.
The flat jet nozzle is auniversal nozzle type. Primarily suitable for transporting aqueous or other low viscosity media.
With this type of nozzle, you can choose from a very wide range, both in terms of volume flow and spray angle, as well as material quality and connection.
Depending on the specific application, the spray pattern of the flat jet nozzle can be elliptical and square shaped.
The elliptical spray cross-section flat jet nozzle is standard. This is most often the perfect choice for a variety of washing and surface applications. However, one of the main features of an elliptical spray pattern is that it produces a parabolic droplet distribution, so, much less medium reaches the two edges of the parabola than the core of the flat-jet nozzle spray pattern. This must be taken into account when installing the nozzles and the installation distance must be determined in such a way as to ensure adequate overlap of the spray patterns. (1 / 3-1 / 4 ratio)
However, there are cases where it is very important that the same amount of medium reaches each point of the nozzle spray pattern, in which case flat jet nozzles with a square or rectangular spray pattern are used.
Our products include the right flat jet nozzle for both low pressure and high pressure applications.
